I personally think [The One That Got Away] is one of the more weaker songs off Katy Perry’s sophomore album. But I am liking it more now after seeing its video.

Don’t wanna ruin it for ya, if you haven’t see it yet!

I will say this though.

The video features scenes depicting Katy as an older woman who is clearly haunted by the memories of a past love!! These scenes keep switching over to scenes of her when she was much younger!

The X Factor contestant Simone Battle (mentored by Simon Cowell) may have been eliminated last night, but that didn’t stop her from plugging her own new single [He Likes Boys].

Oh yeah, she told the crowd she would be releasing it after the show. And she did!! I don’t hate it, it’s funny. But I don’t think it is going to catapult her to fame!

Katy Perry’s [Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)] has been treated to an official remix featuring none other than Missy (friggin’) Elliott. And it is good!

According to Billboard…

The remix above will hit radio/digital outlets on August 8th. As the song has been resting in the Hot 100′s #2 spot for a while now, the remix could bring about the airplay and sales Katy needs to move it
to #1; thusly, tying Michael Jackson’s record for most #1 jams from
one album.
