What was intended to be a satirical link has been taken down after it caused distress among some of its customers.

Video retailer TLA has removed a page that promoted a series of gay-themed independent films with the heading “What Would Jerry Sandusky Watch?”

GossipBoy.ca is proud to have been involved with one of the films listed, Judas Kiss, which is garnering extremely favourable reviews worldwide.

TLA later removed the page and offered an apology:

“As a gay-owned and operated business on the forefront of LGBT issues for over 30 years, we have always taken jabs at current events and pop culture. But in this instance our sense of humor did not come through in the way that we intended, and for that we apologize.”

While an apology was indeed offered, some might find it a bit upsetting that a company that actively supports and promotes LGBT films actually wasted its time with a needless reference to a pedophile.

Gossip Boy here! I had an awesome weekend!

I had the chance to  attend  three programs at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival. And I even  went to  a screening of a  movie that I was in. Yupp!

That’s not all, I also  got to see some people from Judas Kiss!

That made me happy.

I’m grateful for  ALL the love and support I received last week too, lots of people saw me on Hellcats and enjoyed it tons!  I appreciate it a lot!

A good sad though. I’m proud of everyone who was  involved with the project. Not only did I get to act in it,  I  met  lots of  incredible people!!
