Bill O’Reilly of Fox News is worried that the recent transgender plot on Glee could influence viewers, actually turning kids gay!

Really?

Okay, so a male character performed a song in full drag. That has been happening in film and theatre for a very long time. And, by the way, the character in question (Wade Adams, aka “Unique”) was never actually referred to as “transgender”.

This is what O’Reilly said: —>

“Here’s the problem with a show like this. If you make the behaviour of these people … if children hear it, unsupervised children who don’t have parents watching … they might go out and experiment with this stuff.”

He has been known for both his controversial comments on LGBT issues and, on the flipside, his recent support for transgender Miss Universe contestant Jenna Talackova.

Apparently brushing off his earlier remarks, he said he didn’t know if that kind of behaviour was contagious but admitted that he did have a yearning for cigarettes after watching James Dean films as a child, seeing him smoke on screen.

Oh my.

First it was wrong.
Now it is really clever.

Make up your mind, Gotye!

The singer recently criticized the show Glee for its rendition of his song [Somebody That I Used to Know], referring to it as “dinky and wrong”. Apparently the vocals were too much in the pop style and the overall effect was like “playing to you from a cardboard box.”

Now he has retracted the statement, calling the show’s performance by Darren Criss and Matt Bomer as “really clever”, and that it was a great idea to use two male characters instead of Gotye’s version with a male and female singer.

Personally, I like both versions, and I thought that Criss and Bomer did a decent job.

Lea Michele was ecstatic yesterday, announcing to the world that she is now a homeowner.

The Glee actress has just bought a cute little $1.4 million home in LA. The home boasts two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a salt water pool, Carrara marble, a steam shower, and oodles of closet space.

Well, I guess she can afford it, considering she earns a modest $45,000 per episode (which is more than some of us earn in a year).

I wonder if boyfriend and co-star Cory Monteith will be moving in, too!

After what seems like an eternity, Glee returns from its winter hiatus on
April 10th!! Before the break, the wedding of Rachel and Finn was about
to take place, but a distracted Quinn was headed for a deadly car crash!

Will she survive?

Hopefully, we’ll find out the answer in the episode, “Big Brother”, which focuses on Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss) and his older brother Cooper (get the pun?), played by Matt Bomer. Sibling rivalry!

Yup, that’s right, Lindsay Lohan is free!

For the 1st time in more than 4 years, Lindsay’s 100% free of formal probation. Now, all she has to do is obey the law completely for the next 2 years.

No DUIs, no shoplifting, and maybe a lil’ less heavy-duty partying.

With an appearance on Glee and filming starting in Canada in May for Liz and Dick (she’s playing Elizabeth Taylor), she’ll need to be on her best behavior.

I’ve been fortunate to see the pilot of the new musical series Smash! Let me tell you, it is one! It’s my favorite pilot of the year thus far!

At first glance, it seems a bit like Glee, but that’s not what the final product is like at all. The musical numbers are exciting and fresh, as is the cast: especially Megan Hilty! She will be a household name very soon!

It’s a great premise, and I can’t wait to see where the rest of the season goes!

Smash Debuts Feb 6!

Despite rumours to the contrary, Ricky Martin is not getting married yet.

The singer’s publicist has told the Spanish language edition of People that there are no wedding plans and that there is no announcement to be made.

Sources had reported that Martin was to marry his companion, Carlos Gonzalez Abella, in a ceremony in New York later this month.

Ricky certainly has a lot on his plate right now. He is already the father of 3 year old twin boys and hopes to have a daughter this year. He’ll also be starring as Che Guevara on Broadway in the production of Evita this April and is scheduled to appear on Fox’s Glee this spring!

Darren Criss (from Glee!!) made his Broadway debut in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Tuesday evening in NYC to a sold out crowd (probably consisting mostly of Gleeks).

Looks like he had fun!
