Alright, do y’all remember Derrick Martin?

He’s the boy from Cochran, Georgia who received lots of attention
when he  announced he was going to  bring his  bf  to his prom, yup!

Some  in his town weren’t too happy about it, but Derrick and his boyfriend received  more support and love  than opposition. Yeah!

Don’t forget, love conquers all!

Anyway, the couple went to their prom last night and they had a really good and safe time.  So happy  for them! They stood up for their rights!

Wow, I love people who stand up for their rights!

A student in Cochran, Georgia has received shit-loads of  attention
recently  for  requesting to bring a same-sex date to his  prom. Yup!

Here’s the  cool news,  his request was approved. Derrick Martin, who goes to  Bleckley County High School,  WILL be able to  go to his prom with his boyfriend. Yeah cool, he can truly be himself! Aww,  I love it!

BUT…

His parents  couldn’t take all the publicity and kicked him out. How
sad! They should be  so  proud of his immense bravery. Just  like me!

I’m sure they’ll come around.

I had the  lil’  opportunity to chat with Derrick and he told me that he’s holding strong and staying  optmistic. I’m rootin’ for him and Richard!
