Titanic Super 3D gives us an alternate look at a modern classic!

Have you ever wondered what James Cameron’s film Titanic would have been like if it was made by George Lucas, J.J. Abrams, and Michael Bay?

Wonder no longer…

PistolShrimps’ Titanic Super 3D answers that question!

I’d like to add that no disrespect is intended to the families of victims and survivors. But I’d guess that the creators of this clip are making a statement about Mr. Lucas, Mr. Abrams, and Mr. Bay!

Taylor Lautner casting news!

Taylor Lautner will be joining the cast of…

Adam Sandler’s Grown Ups 2!!!

The young stud has been working on his post-Twilight acting career recently. Unfortunately, his film, Abduction, didn’t do all that well at the box office.

Hopefully, his venture into mainstream comedy will fare better!

With the 5th (and final!!) installment of The Twilight Saga set to open this November, let’s just hope that he can escape the wolf image and branch out into different roles and genres.

As long as it is not Sharkboy and Lavagirl 2, hehe!

Titanic 3D hits the theatres!

This weekend, I went back to Titanic.

Almost 100 years after the sinkin’ and nearly 15 years after the release of James Cameron’s flick, Titanic still holds up as an epic story of love and tragedy.

Now in 3D, the experience has been heightened. We feel the sheer size of the ship, the depth of the ocean, and the grandeur of the Edwardian era.

And it is beautiful!

Yes, the movie that won an incredible 11 Oscars is still fresh!

Cameron has managed to enhance the cinematic experience with 3D that’s neither gratuitous nor gimmicky. Simply put, it works. Even if you’ve seen the 1997 film, you’ll get a new appreciation of it.

…especially in IMAX!!!!!!!

Potted Potter pleases!

This week, I saw all 7 Harry Potter films back to back…

…on the stage!

Potted Potter is a clever and fantastically funny theatrical presentation of all 7 books in 70 minutes. Yes, I went with a couple friends, we had hell of a good time!

So, direct from the West End of London, writers/actors Daniel Clarkson and Jeff Turner have created a highly energetic show that mixes parody with a loving devotion to the successful books and film franchise.

There was even a game of Quidditch with audience involvement!

The 2 performers were totally in charge of the stage and showed a nice rapport with the audience with their improv skills. If you’re a fan of the series and Monty Python-esque humor, catch this show when it comes to your area!

Vancouver student scores big role!

A Vancouver high school student has booked the role of a lifetime in the upcoming entry into the Percy Jackson film franchise. Ya! All this after her very first audition!

Paloma Kwiatkowski will be playin’ the role of Thalia in Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Sea of Monsters… with the possibility of appearing in two future films if they are given the green light!

Way to go, Paloma! Dreams CAN come true!

The Three Stooges are back!

I’ll admit that I’m a fan of slapstick and not a fan of remakes!

But this trailer had me laughing out loud. On April 13th, the Farrelly brothers’ new film, The Three Stooges, opens featuring the comedic talents of Chris Diamantopoulos (Moe), Sean Hayes (Larry), and Will Sasso (Curly) in the title roles.

Yup, Sean Hayes. If you thought he was hilarious in Will & Grace, wait until you see his uncanny performance as Larry Fine. From what I can see, it looks like they have captured the hilarity of the 1930s comedy trio and successfully updated it for the 21st century.

Of course, any time Snooki can be the butt of a joke, I’m happy. I dare you to try and withhold your laughter, you will not be successful, hah!

Whitney Houston still sparkles!

Singer Whitney Houston and just completed her work on the movie Sparkle (a remake of the 1976 film) at the time of her death almost
two months ago.

Her beauty and talent are definitely there for all to see!

Also, producers are raving about her performance in the film, which is loosely based on the musical trio, The Supremes. Iwould like to see it!

Do you think her tragic death will draw people to this film?

We’ll know soon enough.

Jane Fonda to play Nancy Reagan… maybe!

74 year old Jane Fonda could be taking on the role of 90 year old former
First Lady Nancy Reagan!! According to her publicist, Jane is currently in
talks for the role with filming scheduled to begin this summer. Fun!

Is it my imagination, or have there been a lot of biopics lately?
