Two different recordings to love!
We all know that the late Whitney Houston was famous for her soulful and powerful rendition of [I Will Always Love You], but did you know that it was originally written and recorded by Dolly Parton almost 40 years ago?
Miss Parton wrote the song back in 1973 as a very tender tribute to her mentor and former partner Porter Wagoner when they parted ways. Yea, it was eventually used in the film, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
Both performances are amazing and equally compelling!
…but which one do you prefer?
Have a look at these vids (there are so many versions to choose from) and let us know. First up, Whitney Houston’s 1992 recording from the film, The Bodyguard —>
